Marinated Steak Kabobs

IMG_6286.JPG

The perfect meal for grilling season - whip up these delicious kabobs at your next cookout and your guests will be dying to know how you made such flavorful steak! (hint: the it’s the secret ingredient KGM)

What I love about kabobs is how versatile they are. You can serve them as the main course, on a salad, with rice or a side a corn.

You can also use a variety of vegetables - tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers are some of my favorite options.

Don’t want to make kabobs? You can also use this recipe without cubing the steak and skewering on a kabob - just marinate, and grill up the perfect steak filet!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Sirloin or Ribeye, cubed

  • 1 green bell pepper, cubed (any color works!)

  • 1 red onion, cubed

  • Kara’s Greek Marinade

  • 8-12 Metal Skewers (wooden skewers can also be used, but make sure you soak them in water for at least 30 minute prior to placing your meat and veggies on them)

Recipe:

  • Overnight Marinade: if you plan ahead, marinating the steak overnight will give you the BEST flavor! Simply place cubes of steak in a container, add Kara’s Greek Marinade, cover with lid and place in the refrigerator overnight.

  • Quick Marinade: Place cubes of steak in a large bowl, add Kara’s Greek Marinade, and allow the steak to marinate on the countertop for 25 - 30 minutes

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat

  • Skewer the steak, alternating with the peppers and onion until all of the steak is skewered

  • Grill it! Once you place the skewers down, reduce the temperature to medium (400°) and continue to cook, turning occasionally, until there's a nice grill marks on the outside

  • Remove and let rest for 5 minutes or so before serving

  • Optional: Top with chopped parsley for a hint of fresh herbs (and it looks pretty)
