Homemade Hummus

This homemade hummus recipe has the traditional flavors of garlic, lemon and tahini, with an extra kick of Mediterranean flavor from Karas Greek Marinade πŸ‘Œ

Perfect with vegetables and pita bread!

Whip up this flavorful hummus in 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 15oz cooked chickpeas (1 can)

  • 1 garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice, fresh

  • 1/4 cup Tahini

  • 1/4 cup Kara’s Greek Marinade

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Parsley (optional)

Recipe:

  • Reserve 2 tbsp from chickpeas, then drain and rinse chickpeas

  • Add 2 tbsp chickpea water, lemon juice and tahini to blender or food processor. Blend for 30 seconds.

  • Add drained chickpeas and garlic. Pulse until chickpeas are in small pieces, about 30 seconds.

  • While the food processor is on, slowly drizzle in Kara’s Greek Marinade and continue processing until the hummus is smooth and creamy. If the consistency is too thick, add water or more chickpea water.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste (I only added a little salt)

  • Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to 5 days
